Do you have a customer satisfaction or refund policy?
Yes, if we fail to perform you will be refunded for the amount of time that was lost. With that said, since our inception, we have never missed a show, or had a failure with our equipment that has made us lose time. -
What are your qualifications? Have you been professionally trained or certified?
Our entertainers have all completed a rigorous classroom training program followed by an apprenticeship with a experienced disc jockey before being placed on their own shows. Plus we are members of the ADJA (American Disc Jockey Association) and the USODJA (United States Online Disc Jockey Association) as part of our commitment to promoting strong entertainment at competitive rates. -
What are your hourly rates?
We work on a four hour basis with rates varying with the time of week and year. -
Do you require a deposit? What is your cancellation policy?
We require a $100 deposit to book an event. The deposit in not refundable but events that are canceled can be rescheduled within 1 year of the original booking date (pending availability) without an additional deposit. Deposits can be made by Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Check, or Money Order. -
What is your experience? How many events have you done?
We have done literally thousands of events over the years. We have done everything from the small quaint wedding to the large events at Bartle Hall. Our equipment and talent are the best we can find and obtain to make sure that we always have the most experienced DJ's along with the most current state of the art professional systems. -
Do you specialize in a specific genre of music?
We have a wide variety of music in our music library. Our entertainers carry over 6000 selections which are the most requested music from the very old up to what is on the current music charts. It is not enough to have such a comprehensive library. We have the musical background to make that library work for you. When guests ask for a specific song, we will know what they are asking for. -
Do you take requests?
This is depending on your desires. If you instruct the Entertainer to take requests, then it will be done and honored. If you do not wish for the Entertainer to take requests, then we will stick specifically to your playlist that you wanted played. -
Can I provide my own music?
We first ask clients to provide the names of songs that they would like, since we most likely have them in stock. If it is unreleased music or otherwise unavailable then we allow clients to provide music to us for their event. -
Do you have back-up equipment in case of failure?
Absolutely. Every system has a backup system in case of failure. Beyond that even, every DJ that is assigned to an event has a back up DJ ready to go in case of accident, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. -
Will you also be the Master of Ceremonies (MC)?
A private party/wedding Entertainer is also your Master of Ceremonies making all the appropriate announcements and guiding your guests through the evening's events. -
What is your standard attire?
We ask our clients for the suggested attire. All of our entertainers have tuxedos and a full suit for their use. Tuxedos are nice for Weddings but if you are planning a tropical beach party for example, we will wear beachwear or other themed attire to fit your atmosphere. -
Are you insured?
Yes we carry a $2,000,000 General Liability insurance policy through Acord for all of our events. -
How are you different from other disc jockeys?
KCDJ is unique in that we have had the opportunity to serve such a wide variety of clients in so many different types of events. As a result we have the resources at our fingertips to help our clients with ANY QUESTION they may have. Our musical knowledge is second to none in many musical genres and our event planning skills rival any professional party planner -
